Orozco Clothing is a brand that has been evolving and consolidating for ten years as a lifestyle that goes beyond the garments; it was created by “El Sastre Orozco” a talented Costume Designer from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, passionate about the denim industry and tailoring.
Jorge has always been an outstanding student and a loyal advocate of innovative proposals. He worked at Colombiamoda as a fashion consultant and designer of collections for leading brands. He also studied photography in London and took tailoring and drawing courses in Argentina, where the idea of Orozco Clothing as a brand that makes denim as a tailor might do was born.
Throughout his career, he has participated in several catwalks, such as Epica 2017 and Ba Capital in Bogota. He has also been an exhibitor at La Lonja in CDMX, where he initiated the brand’s recognition in Mexico. Thanks to his extraordinary work, he has been in publications such as GQ and Esquire and participated in interviews for media such as El Colombiano and El Heraldo in Mexico.
Currently, Orozco Clothing has a presence in Medellin and Mexico. The first has impacted the work of the brand, being a city that, through denim, has been able to excel in the international market and has been characterized by being a pioneer in the textile and apparel industry in the country.
“One of Orozco Clothing’s best achievements is tailoring in denim, more eco-friendly processes, and using the best fabrics on the market. We are fashion-conscious and prepared to open our market to places where few have gone. I hope in a few years when they ask me about my best joys and achievements, I can tell them how Orozco Clothing reached markets such as the United States and Europe; we are proudly Colombian and enjoy this magical realism.” Jorge Orozco.
In 2022 Dale Robertson joined the brand; a visionary of South African origin saw in Orozco Clothing the opportunity to empower the textile industry through an innovative and revolutionary proposal aligned with high-quality standards of luxury fashion.
Dale is currently the CFO and investment partner of Orozco Clothing. He recognizes that it is a designer boutique brand that has the potential to grow at the pace of the big brands that, in addition to having luxury lines, were able to adapt to mass production and succeed in this market, besides being a brand that works with skilled labor that creates conscious fashion, stylish and 100% made in Colombia.
“Our goal is to be competitive in the national and international market, promoting the Colombian design industry through the customization of garments, understanding that the current market has expectations beyond the standard and is looking for quality garments that represent their personality and are designed according to their preferences and silhouettes.” Dale Robertson.
